Who we are

North East Lancashire Dyslexia Association (NELDA) is a charity affiliated to the BDA. We are a community volunteer group providing services to North East Lancashire. The group has a wide knowledge and understanding of specific learning differences which affect 10% to 15% of the population. We offer support to families, schools and employers to cater for the needs of children and adults who are dyslexic or dyspraxic.

Our aims

We aim to help those affected by any form of poor literacy and numeracy. The charity’s objectives are to identify and support children and adults in order to improve their future achievements despite having to cope with the problems of dyslexia and associated learning differences.
