Dear Frances.
Emily and I came to see you approximately 7 years ago, just before she started senior school. Since then she has got 10 GCSE’s all A’s and B’s, then went on to Sixth form and has just passed 3 A levels and is now going to start a degree in screenwriting at UCLAN.
You were the first person to spot that she had dyslexia and dyspraxia. I just wanted to thank you and let you know about the journey she’s been on. It’s really hard at times but she’s finally got to the point she’s always dreamed of and had many online books under her belt too that she has published on Wattpad, one of which has won an award. I have recommended you to many people over the last seven years in my capacity as a teacher, so thank you again for helping us get on the right path with Emily.
Best wishes
Michelle

Hi All
Jessica got 2B’s and a D in her A levels. B’s in Computers and Maths and a D in Chemistry. She has been accepted at Manchester MMU to do computer gaming. We are over the moon. Her keyboard skills are still excellent, using all the correct fingers thanks to Touch, type, read and spell and she is always reading, mainly books about dragons. Spelling and handwriting are not her thing. She was allowed to use a computer in her exams. Thanks for all you did for us.
Regards
Hazel

Just a quick note to the team to say that my daughter, Meghan is about to start her BSc Sports Rehabilitation at the University of Cumbria. Her success at school, and both at GCSE and Advanced BTEC is partly due to the help and support she received from Frances and the team at NELDA. I want to thank you all very much for that. She came to you as a little girl of 8 years old and although she struggles daily with her literacy and processing, she has learned to cope and is making her way in the world independently. My husband and I are very proud of her.
Thank you to all the team at Nelda for the wonderful work you do in our area for many children like Meghan.
Warmest regards
Maria

    • Grindleton W.I. raise money for NELDA

In May 2017, we received a generous donation from the ladies of Grindleton W.I. The money was raised throughout the year by a variety of activities, planned and organised by the members and will be used to develop a new leaflet and other marketing material. We attended a W.I presentation where Frances was the given […]
