Touch-type Read and Spell (ttrs)

This is a multi-sensory touch-typing course based on Alpha to Omega. It enables children and adults to acquire a new skill as well as improving their literacy skills. The course also provides an opportunity for children and adults to fill the gaps in the foundation stages of literacy. Some added bonuses are; a growth in confidence, keyboard mastery, success and progress at each individual’s pace.

We offer ttrs through the following services:

Family ttrs

We provide family sessions in which a parent, grandparent, or older sibling work to improve the literacy skills of a younger child. There is a mutual gain for both mentor and learner as they share strategies and develop a whole range of new skills. Children feel safe with a close member of the family and as dyslexia has a genetic element quite often the mentor benefits greatly from following the course.

We run training sessions for teaching staff. This in turn allows the schools to run their own ttrs course for children.

You can be a member of our organisation. We have an annual fee of £20.00. This allows you to tap into our support service, borrow resources from our wide range of books, games and many items that may help you or your child with a difficulty.

Please contact us to arrange for an application form to be sent out to you.
